Empowering Nyeri County Teachers with Scratch Programming Skills
Scratch Programming, Digital Skills

SCINOV Africa recently conducted a transformative training program on Scratch programming for Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers from Nyeri County. Held at St. Mary's Boys High School from 25th February to 1st March 2025, the workshop equipped educators with essential coding skills to inspire the next generation of young innovators.

The training focused on hands-on learning, enabling teachers to create interactive animations, games, and simulations using Scratch—a beginner-friendly, block-based programming language designed to make coding fun and accessible. By integrating Scratch into their classrooms, teachers will not only enhance digital literacy but also foster creativity, problem-solving, and computational thinking among students.

SCINOV Africa remains committed to advancing STEM education in Kenya by providing educators with the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. The success of this training marks a significant step toward bridging the digital gap and ensuring that young learners are well-prepared for the future.

Stay tuned for more impactful initiatives from SCINOV Africa as we continue to drive innovation across the continent!
